Corel PHOTO-PAINT – Full Open Type support

Corel PHOTO-PAINT has full support for OpenType.

Corel PHOTO-PAINT equals Adobe´s Photoshop, for those who are new to the Corel image editing and illustration programs. As I write this is Corel PHOTO-PAINT X6 is already out in the market and is included in the suite CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6.

Even with version X5 and X6 today’s version includes full support for OpenType. It is for us who work with text in bitmap / raster programs obviously a very good feature. Back in 1997 when I started using Corel Photo-Paint and Corel Draw, it was a superior text feature in PHOTO-PAINT, which finally made switch and leave Adobe Photoshop, who at the time had an annoying text dialogue that was always in the way when you wrote the text.

I highly encourages a closer look for those who already have or plan to start using PHOTO-PAINT (CorelDRAW Graphics Suite). Obviously also CorelDRAW have full support for OpenType.
