Dawid Bowie the great inspiration
Dawid Bowies fantastic New album from 2013. A swedish reviewer wrote it sounded like ”before”, but heck, do i care? No. We are talking about one bloody cool influential and artistic musical artist very few of todays acts can compare with, and who all sound the same. I just love the album. And he is a huge inspiration to me anyway. Thank you Dawid Bowie!
Your music Dawid, free my mind. Make me think new thoughts while I let my traditional and digital pen dance over the palettes and surfaces. Ever since I was a kid in my boyroom in the stockholm suburbian million housing projects. i have enjoyed your music. I remember having heard your music early because my older brothers were discjockeys in the 70´s. I bougth your LP record ”Heroes”. I was amazed and perplexed. I remember I loved it, and still I sold it to my cousin. And then later felt stupid doing it. I have loved like everyone else of any sanity, the Heroes music. And everything before and after – and heck, it isnt always the easiest music to listen to for a young pre-teen boy. I was only 12 at the time back then.
It was the same year I became a heavy coffee drinker, age 12, on a plane ride down to Magaluf, Mallorca with my older sisters kids and husband. I ordered a cup of coffee 12-13 times during the trip. The stewardesses thought I was cute. I thought and ordered it because she was gorgeous. Same year I discovered Mozart and stopped listening to KISS. Took down all their posters from the walls. And one year later I learned to joggle with oranges and decided to become an artist. Which is my work today.
And now, two years ago, you released a brilliant record once again. Thank you!
