Sketching urban and at hotels in Stockholm. Great café at Scandic Hotel
I often go for coffee, sketch and work. To go out from the four walls of my home workspace. Always have. Both Sketchbook and laptop these days.
I started sketching in sketchbooks at cafés when I was sixteen when there were no laptops. And basically done this several days, and sometimes every day in my life. Be it in my hometown Stockholm, or a fab week in San Francisco.
Or the Italian border town of Ventimiglia, close to border town Mention in France. This drawing was my drawing of the coffee bar at Scandic Continental hotel, in Stockholm Sweden. I really enjoy going there. You can sit and work and chat in the coffee bar or seating area. Or move to the larger lounge area in the entrance of the hotel.
Lots of Digital Nomads and regular hotel guests mixing. The Scandic continental hotel, and several other Scandic hotels, have focused on getting locals to visit their hotel and sit and work. And it’s a great place really. In the middle of town, close to the central station, taxis and busses going to the Airport. And Metros taking you around town. Easily walk or taking the bicycle. Can’t be more central and still nice area to visit.
And there I roam off and on. And this is the coffee machine Infront of me. Watching the man in a hat waiting to order an espresso or something.
