Promotional videos for Corel, and others, is an art form

First, I am a CorelDRAW Suite X7 user and CorelDRAW Master as well as a working professionally as an illustrator and graphic designer in Stockholm, Sweden. So you may call me biased if you like for only showing links to videos below for Corel products. But I honestly see great promotional videos with the same respect, craftmansship as I would do with any sort of graphic design, illustration, photo and what have you. It truly is an art form when made well. And I have met the two persons who happened to make these videos in person. And they are both very nice and likable people. With a professonalism anyone would acknowledge. Looking past the reason for making the videos – selling products and services is important to be able to simply see how good they are. When I was a young toddler at school we had a topic in the curriculum learning how advertizing works. Quite impressed that actually was in the curriculm for kids aged 10-15. A sign of the times in Sweden at that time I guess. But very good.

Home & cozy feel in promotional Videos like those made for Corel and in this case CorelDRAW Graphics Suite is a reality. There is something special with the work americans and Canadians do when they make these videos. I happened to be in one of those videos myself. But here is one for the New release of CorelDRAW graphics Suite X7. Its professionally done and this one for example have almost a small town feel. Like a feel good movie. The music plays in a lot of course. Here with fellow CorelDRAW Master Richard Reilly and CorelDRAW guru extraordinaire Tony ”the man” Severenuk. A swedish company would make the same video entirely different. How they are made is very much a cultural thing. One thing in general that would differe if a Swedish company made the promotional videos, would be adding humour and/or almost like short movies. Enjoy the videos, buy chips if needed and lean back.
