Sketchbook Heroes Podcast om illustration, tog återigen podden ut från mikrofonerna. De skapade eventet Sketchbook Heroes i Stockholm i fredags. Och nära på 80 personer dök upp. Däribland yours truly. Vilken härlig känsla. Vilket inspirerande event, meet up. Att hänga med närapå 80 kreativa illustratörer från olika branscher, olika åldrar, generationer – och ingen tycker det är konstigt att man älskar att teckna.
Gaming industry/spel och filmbranschen, seriertecknare, böcker, tidningsmedia, reklam för att bara nämna några branscher. Alla både satt ned och tecknade, hängde och minglade och umgicks med människor de kände – och inte kände. Främlingar som fick nya kontakter. Testade WACOMs olika ritplattor stora som små – då WACOM kom förbi och fick träffa vad som är deras kundkrets om man så vill. Vi var illustratörer och kreativa som kom från sverige och med från hela världen. Bokstavligen. Inga krig, bara fred. What a blast vi hade.

The illustration podcast Sketchbook heroes brought its podcast ones again out to meet up with its listeners. Creating a Meetup event. And what an event it was last friday. Nearly 80 people showed up. Way more than anticipated. What a success. No other words apply. Great fun event. So many fellow illustrators, artists who work in various industries: Gaming and movie business, news & magazine media editorial, books, Comics, commercial advertising and you name it. A great mix of both employed and freelancers, amateurs and professionals. The pure joy of hanging around and actually drawing, sharing your work. Talking with people you’ve never met before, drinking, eating, chit chatting, networking and so forth. We were from Sweden and literally from around the world. An international and local event at the same time. No wars, just peace. What a blast we had!
